School Based Program
The challenges of juggling a new apprenticeship with study while still trying to have a life can be tough. But it's not impossible and it can be a lot easier and more successful with the right support.
The aim is to better fit them to a qualification that suits their skills, personality and interest and to ensure they are retained in their apprenticeship.
The school-based apprentice or trainee can be employed by BUSY At Work and partnered with an employer or employed directly with the employer.
A school based program will involve:
Job matching
Students will undergo a Role Fit Analysis and Learning Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test. These tools will access the suitability of positions and if further training is required.
Career path planning
BUSY consultants will provide advice and guidance to ensure students have a career pathway that is realistic. We do this by developing structured career plans so students can reach their potential.
Coaching and advice
As part of our managed program, coaching is provided to your school-based apprentice. During a coaching session we identify training needs that may need to be improved such as decision-making and assertiveness. Personal or work issues are also explored, helping to resolve problems as they arise rather than leaving them to escalate.
Critical skills training
We spend time training your school-based apprentice in important life skills, including communication and listening skills.
Personal monitoring and assessment
We will monitor and review the progress of the school student to ensure their performance is meeting requirements through regular face-to-face contact both on and off-site.
Regular reporting
Apprentice Solutions will provide you with reports on key milestones to keep you up-to-date on how your school-based apprentice is progressing in their career.
