BUSY At Work has been contracted to deliver the Industry Training Hub as part of a $50 million national program to assist regions with high levels of youth unemployment. The Maryborough area is one of ten regions in Australia to benefit from this program.
The Industry Training Hub aims to improve the career opportunities for unemployed youth, focusing mainly on year 11 and 12 students.
BUSY At Work will provide expert career facilitators to work closely with local industry and young participants to help build their skills and gain the knowledge and experience to meet the demands needed from local employers and industry in the region.
BUSY At Work Managing Director, Paul Miles stated “The Industry Training Hub will provide the bridge needed between the demand for skilled staff and employment opportunities for young people in the region. We’re looking forward to assisting the Maryborough region to boost required skills from their local industry and assist young people to remain in the region by providing more employment opportunities”.
