BUSY Business is a dedicated small business services initiative established by The BUSY Group, bringing together a team of former and current small business owners to deliver practical, experience-led advisory services to businesses across Australia. Through the Digital Solutions program, funded by the Australian Government, BUSY Business is expanding this support network with specialist digital advisory services designed to help bridge the growing gap between rapid digital change and the practical capability many small businesses need to confidently adopt new technologies and digital systems.
Backed by nearly 50 years of experience delivering employment, education and training services across Australia, BUSY Business will provide accessible, low-cost digital support to small businesses across Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia from 1 July 2026 through flexible delivery including workshops, webinars, online resources and one-on-one advisory services.
The services will focus on five key digital capability areas designed to support practical business growth and long-term sustainability.
Supporting Small Businesses to Build Digital Capability
The program will provide support across the following priority areas:
1. Introduction to Digitalising Your Small Business
Small business owners will receive guidance on understanding digitalisation and how digital tools can support business goals, improve operations and solve common business challenges.
2. Social Media, Digital Marketing and Selling Online
Advisors will support businesses with developing an online presence, creating and managing websites and social media channels, exploring online sales opportunities and building digital marketing strategies.
3. Using Business Software
Support will also be available to help businesses identify and maximise the right software solutions for managing areas such as sales, accounts, payroll, inventory and customer relationships.
4. AI and Emerging Technologies
Small businesses will be able to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, including content generation, task automation, customer engagement tools and business analytics.
5. Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
Advisors will help businesses better understand cyber security risks, customer data privacy obligations and practical ways to protect business and customer information.
Flexible and Tailored Support
As part of the program, participating businesses will receive tailored digital action plans outlining priority actions and recommendations, alongside guided one-on-one advisory support.
Self-directed online tutorials through a dedicated learning management system will also be available, allowing businesses to access support and learning opportunities at their own pace.
The program has been designed to support businesses at different stages of digital capability, from beginner through to advanced skill levels, while also improving accessibility for First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) small business owners.
Accessible Services for Small Businesses
Small businesses can choose how many services they participate in throughout the life of the program, with unlimited access available to workshops, webinars and online tutorials at no charge.
For one-on-one advisory services, businesses will have access to up to five hours of tailored support per ABN over the life of the program.
One-on-one advisory services will be available:
- for a one-off upfront fee of $110 (including GST), or
- at no cost for businesses experiencing demonstrated financial hardship.
