BUSY Partner with The Skill Xchange to Digitalise Trade Workforce

Eden Spencer, CEO and Founder of The Skill Xchange, started the digital platform to ‘digitise the trades industry’ and deliver quicker, easier, and more streamlined access to the skills that business and the wider community need.  His vision for the platform was so that businesses could thrive by having better access to the resources, jobs, and contractors that they needed to get ahead.

After over a year of growth and learning, The Skill Xchange and The BUSY Group started a new strategic partnership. There were obvious synergies in both organisations and the collective abilities to get more people into jobs, increase productivity, and reduce skill shortage gaps. In addition, both organisations have a shared vision around the delivery of outcomes through technology and digital capabilities.  The BUSY Group has always been in the forefront of digitalisation and digital data to improve upon apprenticeship placements and completions.

Together, the goals for The Skill Xchange include:

  • Grow the user base in Queensland;
  • Expand to deliver the solution nationally;
  • Revolutionise the industry by using technology to provide better outcomes for businesses;
  • Provide greater access to jobs, validated contractors & skilled labour.

Eden Spencer stated, “The Skill Xchange is working to get more people into jobs, increase productivity and reduce skill shortage gaps – all through a single technology platform. This is a vision we share with The BUSY Group, who through such a partnership will be able to assist us in delivering quicker, smoother, and more streamlined access to products and services to our businesses and entities. This is an incredibly exciting prospect, and we look forward to working with the entire BUSY team to digitise the future of trades for Australia, and beyond!”

Paul Miles, Managing Director of The BUSY Group added, “As part of the vision and mission of The BUSY Group to use new technologies get more people into jobs, education, and training, we have partnered with The Skill Xchange to lead the way at matching the demand to the supply of trade labour within Australia. The BUSY Group and The Skill Xchange together will change the way trade labour is connected to build communities of high quality, validated, and available trade supply, within a single platform. The following short video explains what the platform is, who the Skill Xchange are, and why this is so important to the future of the trade industry.

“There will be a lot more information to come in the following weeks and months, but for now, have a think about how you can help be part of and grow this amazing opportunity.”
