Kate’s ‘Campaign for Change’ Helps Job Seekers through BUSY At Work

The Campaign is supported by hundreds of ‘Campaigners’ who collect and donate items (cash, unused hotel toiletries, gift cards) at host donation drop off points, and volunteer their time to assist with packaging activities.

Recognising the need for hygiene care packs to give to those job seekers going through difficult times, the jobactive team at BUSY At Work Aitkenvale reached out to Kate for assistance.

Once learning about the support BUSY At Work provide to at-risk job seekers in the region, many of those experiencing hardship including domestic violence and homelessness, Kate was more than happy to contribute, stating, “I aim to continue to provide care packs and interview clothing for the at-risk job seekers moving forward.”

Over time, Kate and her team have donated three racks of workwear and interview clothing, and 40 hygiene packs for our clients in Aitkenvale.

Ana Pairama, Employment Consultant at BUSY At Work Aitkenvale, said “Kate is always a pleasure to deal with and has a genuine passion for helping others.

“At only 19 years old, Kate has made an incredible difference in changing the lives of many and is a fantastic role model for her generation and future generations to come. We are extremely proud to be part of that change, and we anticipate a long and prosperous relationship with Kate and her team.”

BUSY At Work donated $5,000 towards the Campaign to help provide Hygiene Care Packs and help the team to work further with local not-for-profit organisations to alleviate some of the hardships experienced by local community members including those who are victims of domestic violence, experiencing homelessness or dislocated by natural disasters.

Paul Miles, Managing Director at BUSY At Work, said “Kate’s Campaign for Change is a truly inspiring operation that aligns with the support BUSY At Work do in supporting people into work and financial independence. We are extremely grateful for the care packages donated and the work Kate and her team do to support community members experiencing hardship.”
