Business admin trainee Rachel makes ‘quick progress’ with My Community Directory

Apprenticeships and traineeships are fantastic pathways to help develop the necessary skills and experience needed for future careers.

Business administration trainee Rachel Perkovic is one step closer to pursuing her career goals, completing all of the modules in her traineeship.

Rachel was placed as a business administration trainee at My Community Directory through BUSY at Work Recruitment Solutions in October 2012.

My Community Directory is an online services community directory that connects members of the public to their local community service organisations.

Rachel pursued a Certificate III in Business Administration through BUSY at Work, remarking that she has enjoyed taking on the traineeship and values the experience and knowledge she has picked up.

“I’m really happy that I achieved my Certificate III in Business Administration through My Community Directory,” Rachel said.

“Through My Community Directory I have learned [sic] a large range of skills that I did not have before working here, and through both Brentyn [My Community Directory founder] and Andrew’s support and encouragement to learn.”

Rachel adds that she hopes to complete her Certificate IV in Business Administration with My Community Directory, and looks forward to a “long-term partnership” with the team.

My Community Directory founder and chief executive officer Brentyn Parkin said that Rachel has been a “fantastic addition” to the team.

“Her progress has been quick, and she is looking at completing her traineeship in half the usual time,” Brentyn said.

“We have also sponsored Rachel to complete her Certificate IV in Business Administration to continue her learning and develop her skills.”
