BUSY At Work announces its new membership with AIMSC

BUSY At Work is delighted to announce its new membership with the Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council (AIMSC).

AIMSC, a joint collaboration between government, corporate and indigenous Australia, to encourage, facilitate and promote business for indigenous owned enterprises.

“We are delighted to welcome BUSY At Work into the AIMSC program and look forward to working with them to develop their supplier diversity footprint,” AIMSC chief executive Natalie Walker said.

As a member of the AIMSC, BUSY At Work will play a vital part in working towards closing the gap on indigenous disadvantage by promoting the growth and development of indigenous businesses.

Paul Miles, Deputy CEO of BUSY At Work said the membership was a large step in the right direction for BUSY and encourages more organisations to get involved.

“BUSY already puts Indigenous employment as a top priority and becoming a member of AIMSC demonstrates this across our internal business,” said Paul.

The AIMSC works with certified indigenous enterprises to establish a positive business sector by integrating indigenous managed and owned companies into the supply chain of Australian businesses and government agencies.

BUSY At Work’s membership of AIMSC represents the organisation’s dedication to cultural diversity and the presence of it within its procurement process and its workforce.

BUSY At Work is a not-for-profit community organisation committed to delivering employment and apprentice services to Queensland businesses. With more than 30 years industry experience, BUSY At Work is dedicated to helping people realise their potential and addressing the workforce needs of companies across the state.

AIMSC is supported and funded by the Australian government department of education, employment and workplace relations and Industry and Investment NSW.
