Claire Dowdle is a confident young woman who has tried her hand at a few different careers over the years but it wasn’t until she joined BUSY At Work Brisbane’s office in an administration role that she found her true vocation.

The enthusiastic 21 year old has just completed her Certificate III in Business and will now move into an Accounts Coordinator role for the Corporate Solutions Department in BUSY’s Brisbane office.

“I’d come from university studies in pharmacy, exercise and nutrition science as well as working in hospitality but couldn’t see myself making a career in these fields.”

“When I joined BUSY in June last year as an administration trainee I was keen to learn as much as I could about administration and business.”

“I have learned how to create professional business documents and been involved in coordinating apprenticeship signups as well as handling queries relating to client eligibility. The skills

I’ve learned have given me a great opportunity to build a future career in administration,” Claire said.

Accounts Manager Stephanie Draper said Claire had performed extremely well throughout her traineeship and was a valuable member of the BUSY At Work team.

“From the beginning Claire was a quick learner who has always shown a willingness to help other members of the team. She fully understands the responsibilities that go with the role and has performed at a very high level.”

“She has exceeded our expectations of a trainee and goes above and beyond in her delivery of customer service to BUSY At Work’s clients,” Ms Draper said.

After completing her Certificate III in Business, Claire’s outstanding performance was rewarded when she was promoted to the Accounts Coordinator position within the Corporate Solutions Department.

With a secure job now behind her, Claire said she was keen to continue her learning and was looking to study project management and leadership management in the future.

BUSY At Work General Manager Workforce Planning and Industry Engagement, Sue Loch said she was delighted to see BUSY At Work staff performing well in their roles.

“At BUSY we understand the value of training and upskilling our employees so that we can continue to grow and provide secure jobs for our workforce.”

“We have seen a number of our trainees transition into some great roles here at BUSY through administrative traineeships and we know these traineeships can be a great gateway to a long and successful career at BUSY.”

“We congratulate Claire on her success and the positive attitude and commitment she has shown during her traineeship.”

“Claire now has the skills and ability to make her mark in the administrative area and has set a great example for other young members of our staff who want to follow in her steps to achieve their career goals,” Ms Loch said.

BUSY At Work are strong advocates for apprenticeship and traineeships as career pathways and they are proud to practice what they preach.

There are now over 600 qualifications across Australia to choose from including traditional trades as well as a diverse range of emerging careers so the opportunities are endless.
