Kara secures work through successful Program with The Coffee Club

Kara is looking forward to commencing work with The Coffee Club Tingalpa next week.

Kara has recently graduated from the pre-employment Demand Led Program through a partnership between The Coffee Club and BUSY At Work.

Kara said returning to work after having her first child had proved difficult but she was now relishing the chance to rejoin the workforce on a part time basis.

“I have learnt a lot about coffee and the hospitality industry. The new job will give me a chance to gain financial freedom while still allowing me to spend quality time with my family.”

“It’s a great opportunity and I am extremely grateful to BUSY At Work and The Coffee Club for giving me this chance,” said Kara.

BUSY At Work, Employment Development Officer spokesperson said BUSY was delighted to team up with The Coffee Club in this innovative program.

“The objective of Demand Led Programs is for BUSY to work with employers to identify their workforce requirements and then select and train the job seekers who best meet these requirements. Uniquely this Program engages the employer at every step.”

“We met with the HR Advisor for The Coffee Club, Jarrod Appleby to put in place a program specific to the recruitment needs of The Coffee Club.”

“Through the program BUSY At Work was able to provide the pre employment training while the job seekers were able to gain their Certificate III in Hospitality during the four week program.”

“The results from the program have been excellent with five job seekers successfully completing the program and being offered work with The Coffee Club.”

Mr Appleby said the program was a great way for job seekers to showcase their drive and enthusiasm towards gaining employment within the hospitality industry.

“We get to share our passion for the hospitality industry and work with potential recruits in-store within a real environment. The job seekers are able to learn about customer service and the Café industry whilst gaining real job skills. This hopefully leads them to an employment outcome.”

“We are excited to be able to offer Kara employment as she has excelled in the training and been a standout performer amongst the group,” Mr Appleby said.
