TAFE Queensland’s Flexible Trade Training Delivery Pilot provides funded training to carpentry, electrical, and plumbing apprentices with cancelled apprenticeship contracts and link them with new employers.
Apprentices who have lost or left employment, or had their apprenticeship contract cancelled for any reason in the previous 12 months may apply to continue apprenticeship training at TAFE Queensland and find a new employer with assistance from this program.
Places in this pilot program are limited to 100 carpentry, 100 electrical, and 40 plumbing apprentices across TAFE Queensland’s Acacia Ridge and Bracken Ridge campuses, with expansion of the program dependent on initial success.
In 2025-26 TAFE Queensland is delivering assistance to carpentry, plumbing and electrical apprentices in South East Queensland, with a focus on those who have cancelled their training contracts within the past 12 months. The program aims to enable you to get back on track with your apprenticeship and training.
Delivered via TAFE Queensland’s Bracken Ridge and Acacia Ridge campuses, the program delivers:
- Individual Student Support and Training Plans (SSTPs)
- Skills recognition and gap training
- Flexible training delivery (self-directed, walk-in, virtual and after-hours options)
- Re-employment support via AEN’s Tradeapprentices.com.au and TAFEQ’s
Apprentices can learn more and register their interest via the dedicated TAFE Queensland program page
