More than 700 jobs will be created in south-east Queensland during the construction of four train stabling facilities across the region.

With youth unemployment (15-19 year olds) in the Wide Bay region running at about 38%, BUSY At Work and McDonalds are working together to provide satisfying and rewarding careers for young people.

BUSY At Work in partnership with Health Pathways Alliance Ipswich, West Moreton and Workforce Council last week hosted an Industry Overview at Ipswich focusing on the health and aged care industry.

Queensland’s housing industry continues to impress, with new data from several organisations highlighting growth in the sector.

The launch of the Australian Apprenticeship and Support Network (Australian Apprenticeship Support Services) will help improve apprenticeship and traineeship completion rates across the country.

Workers have begun construction on a $40 million upgrade to Townsville’s Bohle River crossing, a project that is expected to support more than 250 jobs in the area.

Employment prospects in Townsville and the Gold Coast appear to be on the rise, with more than 16,500 jobs created across the two regions over the year to April 2015.
