Is your ideal apprenticeship on the National Skills Needs List?

People considering changing their career paths may find it necessary to take on adult apprenticeships to help them gain the appropriate skills and experience to get into their chosen trade.

If you’ve decided on the sector you would like to get into, but you’re not quite sure which trade job to pursue, then you may find it helpful to check out the National Skills Needs List.

This list is a register of Australian trades that are experiencing a shortage of qualified workers, and if you decide to take an apprenticeship in one of these trades you may find yourself eligible for incentives and benefits such as the Tools For Your Trade initiative and Support for Adult Australian Apprentices.

There are many different trades listed on the National Skills Needs List including aircraft maintenance engineers, gasfitters, cooks, signwriters, pressure welders, locksmiths, panelbeaters, vehicle trimmers, furniture upholsterers, general plumbers and electricians.

If you’re in need of some apprentice support and help getting lined up with an employer, the friendly staff at BUSY At Work can help you take the necessary steps to kickstart your career.
